The client has a successful analytics platform that assists eBay users in monitoring listing performance and market trends. The platform gathers and evaluates listing data, including the number of watches, price changes, and sold-item history of various eBay marketplaces. The tool began as a free tool by resellers, collectors, and product researchers. With the rising usage and the growing number of data requests, the client required a more scalable system that could accommodate more users and ensure a high level of performance and reliability.
The project aimed to make the platform a modern SaaS analytics platform that was capable of supporting the increasing traffic and data demands. The old system was out of date with a manual API integration and did not have user authentication or usage control. AllianceTek redesigned the platform, enhanced the backend architecture, and added a subscription model. The new system offers real-time eBay insights, controlled search and export access, and a scalable structure to support future growth.

The current platform was also old-fashioned in its interface and could not be easily used by users to find listing analytics and marketplace insights. The navigation was not user-friendly, and several key features could not be easily located, which diminished the overall user experience.
AllianceTek redesigned the complete user interface and user experience to enhance clarity and usability. The new design enables users to find listings easily, use filters, and get detailed analytics about the number of watches sold, the trend of sold items, and pricing history.

The platform did not have a proper authentication system, and therefore, users could not manage accounts, track their activity, and personalize their experience. This also limited the ability to control the relationship of the users with the platform.
AllianceTek has adopted a user authentication system that is secure, and it allows account registration and login. Social authentication was also added, which enables a user to access the platform fast using Google, Facebook, and X providers.

The site did not have an inherent monetization strategy. The platform had to find a long-term solution to cover the infrastructure expenses and further development as the number of users and data requests rose.
AllianceTek incorporated Stripe to allow access through subscription. Tier packages were developed that had specific search and export limits to enable the platform to create recurring revenue and manage resources.

The current system was based on manual eBay API integrations, which were ineffective and tended to slow down the performance. The risk of API rate limits was also high due to frequent user searches.
AllianceTek optimized the API orchestration layer to enhance the manner in which the platform interacts with eBay services. The enhanced architecture minimizes unwarranted calls, enhances response time, and complies with API rate limits.

The API credentials were sensitive and needed to be better secured in order to avoid possible security threats.
The implementation of Google Cloud KMS encryption was to ensure the safety of API credentials management and storage. This will make sure that sensitive authentication tokens are not compromised, yet they can be easily integrated with outside services.

There were very high numbers of searches and exports done by some users, and this was a great burden on the platform and affected the overall performance.
