Challenges

As technology advances, Medical Logix continues to seek new ways to leverage technology to benefit their cause of researching and educating the medical community. In particular, Medical Logix needed a solution that would allow them to easily upload and update dynamic content online. Medical Logix had accumulated creative content and needed to find a way to implement this content in a creative way. They also wanted to create workshops for end users that allowed users to study and submit exams and reports that Medical Logix could store.

Solutions

Medical Logix sought assistance from AllianceTek, an IT solutions company with a reputation for discovering and implementing the precise business solutions for unique IT challenges. AllianceTek listened closely to the needs of Medical Logix and carefully composed a list of requirements. Then, AllianceTek developed a robust solution that would solve the challenges posed by Medical Logix.

The form of the solution was a new CMS-based website that featured a custom e-learning platform. AllianceTek used C# and ASP.net to develop the front end of platform while the back end is managed by SQL Server 2005. Usability was a primary concern for Medical Logix, so AllianceTek took great care to develop an admin panel where the user can upload workshops with just a few lines of code and contented can be updated from a single XML file. The admin panel allows Medical Logix to easily view and track user submitted input through the interactive website and e-learning platform.

Result

As a result of implementing the new solution, Medical Logix is better able to connect with medical experts and share their research and discoveries with the medical community. The CMS-based website features video streaming, downloadable transcripts, podcast subscriptions, online post tests, custom landing pages, and other components that leverage technology to promote communication and understanding. Customized medical lectures using an audio-visual medium enhance the learning process and are available not just to workshop attendants but anyone who is able to visit the site online.

Despite the use of so many technical components, managing the content is easier than before with the customized admin panel.
